Letting go doesn’t mean
you don’t care about someone or something anymore;
it’s just realizing that the only thing you truly have control over is yourself,
right here, right now.
It’s a necessary process
of adapting to the ever-changing realities of life
leaving behind the past to make way for the present.
There’s one thing in life that is constant…
that is things will come & go
and there will always be CHANGE !

Giving Our Best
Poet: Julie Hebert, © 2012

Every day that we are alive,
We should be asking ourselves whether we,
Are we giving our best to each day,
This is something we may not all see.

See each day we are given is a gift,
And to waste it would be very wrong.
But our lives are just that,
Ours to do with and hope our life’s long.

But that’s just it, our lives may not be long,
And come to an end before we are ready.
Don’t be that person, who regrets,
Live your life full and steady.

Close your eyes and go to sleep,
Knowing you’ve conquer your day.
You’ll life will be very successful,
And you’ll be happy to look back when you’re gray.

“We tend to forget that
happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have,
but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”
“In every single thing you do,
you are choosing a direction.
Your life is a product of choices.”

How big do you see YOUR WORLD?
Interestingly, koi, when put in a fish bowl,
will only grow up to three inches.
When this same fish is placed in a large tank,
it will grow to about nine inches long.
In a pond koi can reach lengths of eighteen inches.
Amazingly, when placed in a lake,
koi can grow to three feet long.
The metaphor is obvious.
You are limited by how you see the world

The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live.
At any moment, you have a choice,
that either leads you closer to
or further away from

Until one is committed, there is hesitancy,
the chance to draw back,
always ineffectiveness.
The moment one definitely commits oneself,
then Providence moves too.
All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred.
A whole stream of events issues from the decision,
raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents
and meetings and material assistance,
which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.

The remarkable thing we have is a choice every day
regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.
We cannot change our past…
We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.
We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is
play on the one string we have,
and that is our attitude.

Every man who accomplishes things
sees first in his mind what he wishes to do.
He puts away all doubt.
It makes no difference
how small or how large the thing you want to do may be;
if you have an unlimited confidence in your ability to do it,
you will do it.

DREAM YOUR DREAM and don’t let anyone tell your otherwise…..
Dreaming is not an accident.
It is not a wistful idea you hope will come true.
Dreaming is not the stuff of long-haired hippies wistfully running along a beach. No!
Dreaming is a sophisticated tool used by the elite of our society
to make themselves and this world a better place.
People like Millard Fuller, founder of Habitat for Humanity, Warren Buffet, Col. Sanders
and Walt Disney all started with a dream.
The dreams started small,
but like the trickle of water
that eventually formed the great Grand Canyon,
Dreams are powerful!
