“Failure is instructive.
The person who really thinks learns quite as much from his failures as from his successes.”
“Many times what we perceive as an error or failure is actually a gift.
And eventually we find that lessons learned from that discouraging experience prove to be of great worth.”
“Without making mistakes,
there won’t be lessons learned.
Without getting hurt,
there won’t be knowledge gained.
The only way we grow is by learning from the past.
Always be willing to learn and grow daily.
It’s how we come to know who we are and what we are made of.”

PT OF THE DAY
“The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are.
You trade in your reality for a role.
You trade in your sense for an act.
You give up your ability to feel,
and in exchange, put on a mask.
There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution,
on an individual level.
It’s got to happen inside first.”

“March on. Do not tarry.
To go forward is to move toward perfection.
March on, and fear not the thorns, or the sharp stones on life’s path.”
“I don’t take success and failure seriously.
The only thing I do seriously is march forward.
If I fall, I get up and march again.”
“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls;
the most massive characters are seared with scars.”
“Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you
as by the attitude you bring to life;
not so much by what happens to you
as by the way your mind looks at what happens.”

The Man in the Glass
When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you king for a day,
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself,
And see what that man has to say.
For it isn’t your father or mother or wife,
Who judgment upon you must pass;
The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life Is the one starring back from the glass.
He’s the fellow to please, never mind all the rest.
For he’s with you clear up to the end,
And you’ve passed the most dangerous,
difficult test If the man in the glass is your friend.
You may be like Jack Horner and “chisel” a plum,
And think you’re a wonderful guy,
But the man in the glass says you’re only a bum If you can’t look him straight in the eye.
You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years.
And get pats on the back as you pass,
But your final reward will be the heartaches and tears If you’ve cheated the man in the glass.
